Hayfa Jafar

Hayfa Jafar is a PhD student in the Department of Leadership, Higher, and Adult Education at the University of Toronto, and an Institutional Research Analyst at Centennial College. Her research interest is transnational higher education. She will present the research idea of using foreign-backed/affiliated university model to diversifying the higher education in post- conflict Iraq. The central hypothesis of the idea is that a new independent, not-for profit, non-sectarian university in Iraq could have the potential to contribute to the HE system in its core functions of teaching and learning, research and services.

Presentation Topic: Predicting the impacts of internationalizing higher education in post-conflict Iraq
