Designing Research with/through Social Media Workshop

On November 29, 2023, the Centre for Media, Culture and Education hosted a workshop called ‘Research with/through Social Media’ led by Olesya Falenchuk, OISE Research Systems Analyst. This workshop engaged students in the practical how-to of conducting and analyzing research through/with social media, focusing on how to collect data across different sites and platforms, including social networking sites, media sharing platforms, blogs, forums, etc., as well as ways to analyze such data to answer important research questions across a variety of social, political, and cultural inquiries.
