As we bid farewell to this year, I am filled with gratitude reflecting on my first year as Dean. Getting to know the OISE community has been an incredible journey, and each day, I am amazed by the collective brilliance and passion that defines us.

Dean Erica Walker and the OISE community want to emphasize U of T's commitment to inclusion, excellence, diversity, and access. OISE stands with the 2SLGBTQ+ community, and remains steadfast in our commitment to building safe and welcoming learning environments for all.Â
In July 2023, Rijeka, Croatia, hosted a week-long conference that brought together over 50 international scholars, educators, activists, and practitioners to share insights on preventing sexual and gender-based violence. Led by OISE professor Miglena Todorova and doctoral student Nana Gulic, the event aimed to transcend national borders.
